Storm

‘wake to fall in dreams of sorrow-
i’m losing time.
in a world of no tomorrow
love is made to beg and borrow,
and i wonder why.

‘winds arise and clouds are forming –
sirens wail a distant warning.
in a world of no tomorrow,
love is made to beg and borrow
and i wonder why.

then i get the feeling again
it’s not the dream i’m in.
i can see the stars in your eyes
and a storm on the rise.

‘throw my hands to rhyme and reason –
i’m losing time.
fate is like the rain that’s falling
i’m helpless to the season’s calling
and i wonder why.

then i get the feeling again
it’s not the dream i’m in.
i see stars in your eyes
and a storm on the rise.
