In the search for light
I found a place where we can go –
An answer to where confusion crawls
As darkness falls from me
Do you recall
Where we were at the start of it all?
A single seed was mine to sow
But I held it close and never let it grow
Or am I wrong?
It seems so long
Since I heard your call
A single word, the slightest touch
Can heal the sickness that I feel inside us all
I’ve been close
God only knows the lengths that I’ll go to
To keep myself from wandering into view
I lie awake to seek
And dream to feel the heart I know is real …
Inside of you
Or am I wrong?
In the search for truth
I found the proof I could no longer hide
In a penumbral field where dark blossoms grow
The light revealed you’d left me long ago
The light revealed you’d left me long ago
Or am I wrong?

This is deep, my brother – dark (but not like a negative dark-dark (if you know what I mean) – maybe “sobering” is better..?) and lovely And did you change this a bit from the original you sent me (can’t find those lyrics)? Don’t know why but these feel – poignant? Pointed..? Maybe it’s what’s up Anyway – can you share your inspiration?
Love and miss you Mano – a shite-ton.

Thanks, brother. I think the inspiration for this can be summed up thusly: There is an imperceptibly fine line between “my truth” and utter self-delusion.
In short, I don’t think there is any more pernicious concept than “my truth.”
Awsome! Thank you, Robert M.! ! !
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed them. 🙂
